Today's the day..

that my mom, sister, and nephew fly in. I'm so excited to see them. They get in to San Diego at 5:20pm, and I can't wait. I've been telling Gavin every day that his nana, and auntie and cousin A are coming to visit.

I have pictures to post also from when N was home. We had a really good time together and I can't wait for him to come home for good!!!

I'm off to get G from school, then it's nap time for him, and off to the airport. I can't wait.
Just waiting to get a phone call that they got to Houston ok...

Tomorrow..tomorrow..

and to say the least, i'm really excited. I can't wait.

I've been cleaning up and getting things in order, went and got groceries and all the other little things that we need.

I will update tomorrow with pictures.

Then, in 2 weeks from today, I'll have my mom, sister, and Aiden here to visit for a couple weeks. (oh, and Jake here too) We have a lot planned and I'm just excited to see them.
I hate being so far away from my family.

Off to finish cleaning up dinner and get G in the tub.

I'm off to try to make this...

I love Kettle Corn, something about the sweetness and just how good it really is. I love going to the fair or farmers markets and getting a huge bag of this. Heaven. And, if I can make it at home, even better!

Kettle Corn

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
1/4 cup sugar
Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS:

In a large pot with a lid, add oil and three kernels of popcorn. Turn on the heat and cover the pot. Listen carefully - when the third kernel pops your oil is ready.

Add the rest of the popcorn and the sugar. Give it a quick stir to combine and fully coat. Cover the pan and shake gently (using potholders) over medium-high heat, leaving the lid slightly ajar to allow steam to escape from popping kernels. Remove the pan from the heat when the popping stops and carefully pour the popped kernels into a large bowl. Season with salt to taste (about 1-2 teaspoons).

We are so excited..

for all that this month has in store for us.

Nick will be able to come home sometime this month, I can't say when, but, i'm so excited to see him. It's just so soon that he'll be home. He'll only be home for a week, but, i'm looking forward to it and I know that he's looking forward to see us.

Then, one of my very good friends, Kristin, will be in town to see her parents, so we'll be hanging out for the day to grab some lunch and it'll be great to see her.

Then, I have my mom, sister, and nephew coming too. And, they will be here for 3 weeks. We have plenty of stuff planned to keep us busy.

Gavin has been dong great in school, I went in today to pick him up and he was playing "Peek a boo" with another one of the little girls in there, and he just has great days there, and I enjoy my small freedom.

For now, I must head to bed. I'm exhausted and need sleep. Gavin's been waking up pretty early around here..
